Meet // The Artist
Vee Mateus
Vee is a Portuguese tattoo artist living in sunny Setúbal. Their work is a conversation between illustrative roots, fine-line surrealism, and color realism — and what they call tattoo-collage, cutting out elements from old vintage magazines and combining drawing into your ideas. Each piece is a small, personal artifact you get to keep. Their tattoos mix conceptual art and pop culture.
Before tattooing, Vee spent over a decade as a app designer across London, Estonia and Lisbon — working at the intersection of systems, meaning and form. That background shapes every consultation: references get read carefully, ideas get translated, and nothing ends up on skin by accident.
Vee enjoys long consultations, sausage dogs in sweaters, obscure indie films and lots of music.

Good to know
Do you take walk-ins?+
Rarely. Everything is by consultation — book through the form so I can prep your piece properly.
Do you do cover-ups?+
Sometimes. Send a clear photo with your inquiry and I'll let you know if it's a fit.
How much will it cost?+
Quoted per piece after we discuss size, placement, and detail. But in general these are some price-points: Around 6 cms: 70–120€ Around 8 cms: 120€–180€ Around 10 cms: 180–220€ Around 12 cms: 220–250€ Around 15 cms: 250–320€ Over 20 cms: 360–550€

Is this a safe space?+
Yes. Vee's is explicitly queer, trans and neurodivergent-friendly. You don't need to explain yourself — just bring your idea.
